About Me:
I am from Small Town, U.S.A. I decided that after high school I wanted to serve my country, so I enlisted into the United States Coast Guard and served for six years as a Gunners Mate Third Class. I was deployed to New York City the evening of 11 September 2001. I take pride in my service and pride in my brothers and sisters in the U.S. Coast Guard. After my enlistment ended, I returned home to West Virginia and began to work for the West Virginia Division of Corrections. After seeing how well my tax dollars were being put to use I left and enrolled in the Forestry program at West Virginia University. After attending WVU for three years I decided that I needed a change in scenery and moved to Kentucky. I now attend Eastern Kentucky University studying Fire Protection Administration.

On a personal note, I am a 32 years old, who loves life. I love what I do as a volunteer and would lay my life down for anyone of my brothers and sisters in the fire service. I do what I do because I love what I do. I am not a hero nor a saint, but what I am is a man who wants to help. I am a laid back person who will give you the shirt off my back or the last dollar in my pocket.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I joined the fire service because I wanted to help those in need. I love fighting fire.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
I love the fire service because here we have a bond that can never be broken. We are brothers and sisters perhaps not by blood or by birth, but by a common love. A love to help those in need and a love of the calling to serve our community. When a brother or sister falls in the line of duty, we morn as a family because we are a family. Our blood runs red like that of a fire. WE will always be family.

Posted on May 27, 2012 at 10:46pm 0 Comments

Tomorrow as you go throughout your day, remember that Memorial Day is not just another day off from work, its not a day to drink, its not a day to have cookouts. Remember that Memorial Day is a day to remember all of the men and women of the Armed Forces. Tomorrow is a day to remember those that have paid the ultimate price for freedom. So tomorrow, if you have a day off from work, remember that there is a Soldier, Sailor, Airman Marine, and Coast Guardsmen standing watch away from their…

The remains of one crew member are still unaccounted for. Please keep them and their families in your prayers. Also please remember to keep the Coast Guard in your prayers. When a Coast Guardsmen passes all Coast Guardsmen whether active, reserve, retired or service completed,…

Passed my Firefighter II exam but due to a glitch in the system I will no be promoted until the paperwork is fixed. Love people who can't do their jobs correctly but I have learned that patience in a blessing.

No problem .... Yeah that would be sweet man. Degree is a plus here but you don't have to have it if u have prior military....prior service alone gives you a shoe in. Good luck bro
