Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I started out in the Navy - didn't have a choice. I was in Engineering and we were either in the engine room or on the Fire Party.
The bug bit - I spent 11 years in the Navy, four years as a career firefighter and the last 13 as a volunteer. I also volunteered while in the Navy.
