I am 27 years old was on the fire deptartment for 2 years and voted captain. 6 years on and the chief retired and nominated me as chief.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

My dad was a firefighter for 11 years and I was always going to calls with him and got to see the people he saved. I remember the first one I seen die and said to myself I want to help.
