i was a member in florida iaff, florida spacecoast fools, worked for marion county,volusia county and city of palm bay fire depts,was a member with polk county fire rescue as a volunteer,and worked for american medical response as an emt-b.

My Training:

i am currently certified as a state of florida firefighter 1,2, EMT-B, cpr, and NPQ 1,2, firefighter.i have florida state fire collage courses in fire officer one,fire inspector one,fire apparatus engineer,haz-mat awareness and operations,some tech rescue courses,florida division of forestry courses,fema courses, evoc courses. i am taking my gema test for ga state cert for ff,retesting for my nremt-b, and emt-i in the spring.

About Me:

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

i know it sounds corny but to actually make a difference and help people and serve my community plus i like the challenge in it both fire and ems and i can serve my community and country with out having to go to war.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

to help people and the comradery if any of brother and sister firefighters

Top Issues Facing Responders:

manning and equpiment issues with county and city agencies reducing both and risking both citizens and personnel just to buy a $ 4,000.00 hammer and toliet seat,and pay scales which reflect on cost of living vs. insurance ,with cities and counties going with the lowest bidder for health and family insurance,costing the employee higher co-payments,and deductables,and the good ole boys system of government
