Thanks Ian. Any advise that you could give me about gaining employment as a USFS firefighter would be greatly appreciated. Any shot crew near the Oregon/Washington border would be my best chance of being a part of. It's what I've wanted to do for years. Thank you for your help and advise bro. Stay safe and take care this season.
Hey thanks for replying to my comment Ian. I'll be working with the Whitehead contract crew out of Tillamook again this season but still wish to obtain employment with the Forest Service when the smoke has cleared this year. I'll be moving to Olympia, Washington with my girlfriend within the next six months. I have a feeling that will make it hard to get on with a ground crew seeing as there isn't much action around there. I really would like to be a part of a shot crew but there most likely isn't one anywhere near Olympia. If you have any insight on crews in the area, please fill me in. Thanks for your help my man, take care. Josh.
Hi Ian, I aspire to become a firefighter for the U.S.F.S. and wondered if you would be willing to give me some pointers. Any advise you could give me would be much appreciated. Thanks and stay safe.
