Top Issues Facing Responders:
Training and Communication are the two single most important issues facing our Fire Service today. When it comes to Volunteers, recruitment and retention needs to be added to the above two issues. Todays volunteers require more training and more time to get that training. Due to the cost of living in areas with in this country, Volunteers need to work multiple jobs in order to make ends meet. Some thing needs to be done to assist the Volunteer Fire Departments with helping their members stay members.
