I co-owned a Real Estate firm for 25 years and worked there on my days off from the FD.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

It was an accident! I joined the Roberts Park FPD. as a vol. because I had a friend on the dept. I came to like the work, dropped out of college, went to medic school, tested and became a fulltime member. After almost 35 years I retired from RP as a Battalion Chief and took the Deputy position with Calumet Park FD. I stayed at CP until Jan. 2010. Best thing I ever did was to get into the fire service. I work now, as needed, as a state certified promotional assessor.
