Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I joined Fire/EMS because I grew up as the FD brat b/c growing up my dad was always a large part of it. Once I became old enough, I wanted to follow in his foot steps. I recently lost my uncle who was a previous Fire Captain in my home department. It really made me realize how much Fire/EMS meant to me when I put on my uniform to pay my respects to him. It's an awesome feeling to know how much we can do for others that they cannot do for themselves!!!

it helps me help people. I love it because we fight what everyone else fears!
