Well, I work for Fairfield Fire Department. I am currently a Fire Captain. I've seen a lot of changes in the Fire service over the last 33 years. A lot of them for the better. If you used a SCBA in the past you was considered a wimp. Those years are gone, thank goodness. I've had a lot of my old friends die from lung and heart problems. The people we are getting now are a lot stronger and smarter. I've been blessed, working a job that I love. Another thing is, people are always glad to see you come.
