Other Past or Current Departments and Organizations: I am the current President of the Dona Ana County Fire Officer's Association. I am also the current Nm Vice President of the IAFC SW Division.

My Training:: In 31 of paid, professional fire service, quite a bit. No degree, but lots of certs and years of experience.

About Me:: I have just started my 32nd year in the Fire Service. Still going strong, and hope to put in 30 more :o)

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: Originally, I was just a young man looking for a job. I happened to answer an ad in the local newspaper to test for the LCFD, and......here I am today.

Why I Love Fire/EMS: The dedication and unselfish service Firefighters provide is second to none. But most important....is the Brotherhood.

Top Issues Facing Responders:: Funding, recruitment and retention for Volunteer, and training, and always.....Firefighter safety.
