Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I found my grandfather unresponsive on the porch when I was a teenager and did not know what to do and felt helpless. The medics arrived and were very professional and caring toward my family, and was able to help him. Thats when I decided that I would enjoy helping others so I could be a role model and make a difference in other peoples life as they did mine.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

The day is never the same.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Abuse of the 911 system by people who are not seriously ill and/or use us as rolling clinics because they think they an get into the ER faster. We are also under paid for what we deal with on a daily basis. We should not make less than your local Circle K attendant.
