Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I wanted a physically active job that meant something where the things I do matter and something that gives me pride in myself and I wanted to join a field that had many opportunities where I know I'll never get bored. Those are the main reasons I joined, the reasons I plan to stay and make a career out of firefighting is because I LOVE it first of all, also because I really love being a good role model for children and teaching them, I love helping people, I love messing around with tools and realizing that I am able to do things that years ago I never thought of being able to do. And I love the "family" I have found in the other firefighters.
