- About Me:
- My name is Cindy and I am 24. I joined my fire company over 1 year ago as the company photographer. I started out following the company to trainings and special events to take pictures. My chief approached me a few months later and asked me to respond to calls to take pictures of the guys in action. Once I went to my first real call and got my first taste of fire I was hooked. I requested to become a probationary member and before I knew it I was enrolled in fire school and I'm now 2 months into my training. If all goes well I will be a certified firefighter in the beginning of June!

- Why I Joined Fire/EMS
- I started coming around the firehouse because of my boyfriend. He gave me the idea of taking pictures to help me overcome my fear of fire. Now here I am several months later training to become the real deal so I can prove to myself that I can do this and so I can stand by my boyfriends side doing what we love most.

The life of a Probie

My name is Cindy and I am 24 years old. A few months ago I made a life changing decision and decided to become a volunteer firefighter. I am currently in school to get my firefighter 1 certification and it is such a rewarding experience. So far we have learned everything from search and rescue to the basics of using our PPE and SCBA to HAZMAT. The training I have gone through has been tough at times but its so worth it.
