my first joined fire brigade name was North Binondo zone 28 brgy. 294, in 1970. then Manila Traders Lion's Club in 1977 form another group called Filipino-Chinese Youth Volunteer Fire brigade in 1981, then form another group called Hometown Vol. Fire Brigade in 1982, then I joined another group called Middletown Vol. Fire/Rescue Squad in 2001 up to the present. I became member of the Rotary Club of Raha Sulayman, Manila., Vol. Firefighters. in mid 2006 up to now.

My Training:

In 1981 the bureau of fire protection of the gov't conducted a seminar training program which involved the basic firefighting training, en followed in 1986 and 1992. advanced training for firefighting. afterward I subscribed some firehouse and fire engineering magazine for an up-date.

About Me:

in 1970 I was a line-man or hose layingman. then in 1977 trained as nozzleman, in 1981 trained as search & rescue, in 1982 I was elected as a asst. deputy chief in operations, in 1983 I was deputized by our fire chief as an adviser and as safety officer in operations. in 2006 I was asked by my friend to be their group as an adviser and safety officer too.

Day Job:

do some repairing job on fire bunker etc.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

since a great fire hits binondo, Manila that was sometimes 1962 on Feb.22. and its my school foundation day also. the fire started at 1 or 2 o'clock in the afternoon. the only things that my father save was the electric GE brand wall clock. the fire last almost 3 days, the local gov't ask for the help of Clark Air Base fire prevention group in pampanga. which take almost an hour to arrive in manila.well that the time I set up my when I grew up I'll volunteer as an local firefighter. after the fire the businessmen in binondo set-up a fire prevention team, so I did joined. now we have almost 3000 volunteer fire brigades group all over the Philippines alone.except the local gov't group.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

I learned more than any body else. like when there's a fire people came out of the burning bldg. but we get-in that's the different when you know about firefighting.
