Joined Pendleton Emergency Ambulance through the High School Rookie Program, June 2006, the summer before my senior year of high school. This program allows high school students to be trained as an emergency medical provider and lets them respond with their assigned crew, even during school hours. January 2007, I enrolled and attened the EMT-Basic course hosted at our department and taught by a highly respected instructor in the area, which is also a member of our dpeartment. Then, I started Ivy Tech Community College in the Fall of 2007, sudying Fire Science. I joined Pendleton Fire Department in September of 2008 and completed my Mandatory Firerfigher requirements. March of 2009 I took a Firefighter I/II course and obtained the certificaiton in July. I will complete the AAS Degree of Fire Scinence in December of 2009 and will hopefully begin paramedic school in January 2010. Currently, I work as an emergency police, fire, and EMS dispatcher for the Madison County Sheriff's Department.
About Me:
I am proud to be a part of Pendleton Fire/Ambulance. We are the largest volunteer department in our county, and probably even our district. We are the only all volunteer ALS department in the state. Anyway, that's why I proud of our department. I am easy going and laid back and enjoy being with my friends and family. Especially my finance, Jenni, who I will marry next December. She loves what I do too, and that makes it all the better for me!
