My Training:: FF I&II, EMS First Responder, Auto Extric. Tech., Haz-Mat Awareness & Ops., Farm Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, Etc. If I could get to it, I t took it!!

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: To help people. Being a strictly volunteer department the pay is great too!!! No actually to help people. A friend of mine is a firefighter in another town and he was talking about it one time and I thought I'd to try it and here I am 15 years later.

Top Issues Facing Responders:: I would say funding. In a smaller department its hard to get all the equipment and training you need on some of the budgets you have to work with. Retention is probably another thing.
