I am 18 years of age, turning 19 in August. I am looking to get on a department soon. I really want to get on a Vol. Dept. That way i can get hands on experience, aswell as knowlage to help take the written exams to get on a paying department.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I joined the family back in 2006 when I went to New Jersey on a short hiatus with Mountain Lakes Vol. Fire Department. I loved it and officially got bit by the bug. I have always have had a nack for helping others. I can not see myself doing anything else.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

I love to give back and help others.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

the ever changing face of the job, such as hotter fires, WMD, and Terrorism. MCIs are becoming more and more common through out the world. and MCIs can be very stressful. Now I am not saying that all MCIs are all terrorist related, but with traffic moving and a faster pace, and cars and trucks being able to carry more passangers. Stuff happens, and that is what we are here for.
