Drill every Thursday night with veteran members of the Incident Support Team. We do traffic control, fill air bottles, refresh and rehab fire personnel on site of structure fires and traffic accidents. We have our own apparatus truck.
About Me:
I'm a retired Social Worker, having many family members and friends serve with the San Francisco Fire Dept. in the past. I'm married and have 4 grandchildren. I love to cook, which comes in handy at the Station. I serve as Secretary for our Association.
Day Job:
retired from County employment of 27 years
Relationship Status:
Married
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I joined the Incident Support Team to serve my community, we live in a rural area and our Fire Department
is the first responder for every emergency. I'm retired and available 24/7, and only live 1/2 mile from the Station.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
The comaraderie and serving my community.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Lack of funding! We recently won a partcel tax initiative so that should help a lot-we have a shortage of engineers to drive the trucks. We still rely on about 30 volunteers.
