About Me:
I have been a nurse for over 13 years. I have always had a great respect and admiration for firefighters, but once I got one of my own I was "hooked"! =] I first got involved with our department by joining the auxillary-- now I'm becoming a 1st Responder and next is EMT-B Training.
Day Job:

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
At first I just wanted to find a way to support the firefighters in our department-- helping out by fundraising and keeping them fed & hydrated on-scene. Now I want to be involved more directly, so I'm joining as EMS-only. I am putting all my nursing training to good use for the dept. by adding 1st Responder training and then EMT-B.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Nothing beats the feeling that comes from helping others when they really need it...I love being a part of that!
