- I am a Lt./Paramedic on a volunteer fire and ems non-transport agency which we due 12-24 hour shifts for medics only. I also work as a fulltime Paramedic for a Private Ambulance service which we do both 911 and private calls for the county and city of Springfield.

- Why I Joined Fire/EMS
- I grew up around the fire house as a kid with my father being the president of out local volunteer fire department. I joined when I was 16 and then left for college. Then when I came back for break caught a fire and loved it ever since.
- Why I Love Fire/EMS
- the job of helping people...a cliche I know, but the reason why I love it.
- Top Issues Facing Responders:
- A general lack of tradition paired with not respecting those that have been in the fire service for a long time.
