i have held many Offices in the fire dept. fire marshal, fire provention, chaplain. and now i am holding the position of ems/Lt.,

I was a police aide/ and have been a park ranger.but now i am retired.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

to follow in my dad's footsteps. he has been a member going on 50 years. he join at the age of 14 and has going all the way up to chief. both my parents raisded me in the firedept. to help out others in need. and i joined at age 14 to the aux. then moved over to the fire/ems at age 18 and am still active on both side. i have life membership on both sides.so i guess you can say its in my blood...

Top Issues Facing Responders:

people need to step up and learn to help one another again. life is to short the need for volunteer is growing more and more every day. if you can volunteer as a firemen there are other service that need help.after 9-11 everyone thanked the police and the fire depts with there help. now you are lucky if you can get someone to pull off the road to let you pass on a call. i think there should be a call from the president to come together again and volunteer some of your time or at least sopport the volunteers that do..
