I just happen to be on that fire. I was on the CDF Helitack crew out of Bieber Ca. C-119 may have fell out of the sky. But when you are on the fire line and things are getting alittle hot. That day I herd the big sound of the door opening and dropping right on top you to give you an anchor point. I have to say I Miss the old C-119 and B17s.

Photo taken in the 70's near Chico, CA. Thank goodness we dont use these things, C-119's, anymore. Too many fell apart in the air.
