Australia is known for being one of the most prominent bushfire prone regions in the world out here in the country part of Australia where i live we dont call them wildland flashovers they are called wildfire burnovers

The picture you see before your very eyes is the reason why us rural aussie fire fighters do burnover training every year just as the fire season opens

Uh..ya, "Hell on Earth" captures the moment pretty well. I was able to survive one behind a cone of water spray from my nozzle; off our 4x4 Brush truck once - but it was nothing like this. My first thought's would be, "Holy S+++," Run! "Look out, comin' through!" "Which way to the ocean?" "Scotty..beam me up!"
