About Me:

Knock on wood I've never lost a patient in my ambulance yet. If they were breathing when I got there they were breathing when we got to the hospital. A few weren't breathing when we got there but they were when we dropped them off!

On a sad note however on my first run as a Certified Firefighter I lost a close friend in a house fire. It was like 3:30 in the morning fog was as thick as pea soup and couldn't drive over 30 MPH. Red lights made driving that much worse and he lived in the fartherest part of our district. His roomate made it out thank god! The chief wouldn't let me go in because of the situation of being so attached and they made me stay out with the friend that made it out. They didn't find him until the fire was under control and overhaul had begun. He was 3 feet from a door. R.I.P. Richard "Dickie Bird" Boyer!
