Why I Love Fire/EMS: Making a positive difference in someone's life.

About Me

My name is Trina, and I'm on the Hope Fire Department in Hope, Indiana. I'm Certified in Basic and Mandatory Firefighting, Firefighter I, and Firefighter II, as well as Standard First Aid, CPR/AED - Adult and Child, and Infant CPR. I have also completed the WMD/Terrorism Awareness for Emergency Responders Course. In August 2008, I became a Certified EMT-Basic. I'm also our Fire Department Board Secretary, Photographer, and Webmaster.

In addition to being involved in the Fire Service, I've owned Antique Fire Apparatus since I was in High School. I own a 1948 American LaFrance 700 Series Aerial and a 1978 American LaFrance Century Series Engine.

I like to collect Firefighting Memorabilia, including photographs (of course). When I have the opportunity, I like to go out and photograph other area Fire Apparatus. If your Fire Department is nearby, feel free to leave me a note if there may be a photo opportunity available.
