So, I just passed my rider's test for 2 of our engines, and I'm already getting the "you're at the station more than you're home" and "I think you care about the station more than you do us". Just wondering if any of you guys have encountered this....and some advice? Yeah, I am down at the station alot. I like it. I think I've found what I'm supposed to do....and I want to be at the station as much as I can....but I don't want to push people away.

So, I'm just starting out at New Cumberland Fire Department, but I gotta say I'm loving the Fire Service. Taking my first training class at HACC (Harrisburg Area Community College) on January 18th and 19th. "Introduction to the Fire Service", and I'm taking my rider's test next week. Haven't been this excited to be a part of something in a long time....well, ever, really!
