About Me:: Started as a Rookie in 1981 and through the years have worked my way up to Training Officer and Lead Engineer. Am also currently a driver for the local ambulance service. My younger brother is the Fire Chief as was our father. Our father served on the department for 35 years, 4 of those as Chief. Between him and my brother and myself our family has a combined 85 years service to the Greene Fire Dept.

Day Job:: Instructor-Iowa Fire Service Training Bureau

Relationship Status:: Married

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: My Dad was Fire Chief here in my hometown and it was all my brother and I ever wanted to do was to become firefighters. He taught us the importance of helping others.

Why I Love Fire/EMS: being there to help others in need.

Parkersburg Tornado 5/25/08

Hey All:

Most of you I am sure have heard about the devastating F5 tornado that hit Parkersburg, Iowa on the afternoon of Sunday May 25th. My department was one of the first to arrive on scene 20 minutes after the storm. We are only 20 miles north of Parkersburg. It took my breath away to see the carnage left behind.
