About Me:: I'm 19, have been on CFD for 5 months now, and have absolutely fallen in love with the adrenaline, the action, and the feeling of completion after a good call. I start my EMT-B course in July, and am planning to be a full time firefighter/EMT. Am currently finishing up my Associates Degrees in Criminal Justice and Paralegal Studies.

Day Job:: Full Time College Student, Bookkeeper

Relationship Status:: Single

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: Honestly, to get volunteer work to put on my application to Law School. Little did I know, I would find my true passion in firefighting/EMS.

Why I Love Fire/EMS: it's a great feeling of accomplishment.

Top Issues Facing Responders:: In my area, the most serious problem we have is that we do not have enough personnel. We have names, but people do not actually show up for training meetings, go on calls, or further their training.

I was covering for the day and we had a roll over. When we got out there, their was a lady and a little kid that had been in the car. Come to find out the lady was 4 times over the legal limit of alcohol and she was driving with a little boy in the car. It really made me mad.

They were only little grass fires that started out as controlled burns that people lost controll over. Nothing big. I was on my way to a fire class in Northern Idaho for the weekend.
