Why I Joined Fire/EMS

My dad has been ain the EMS service for 16 years as a Paramedic, and as a Volunteer Leu. So you could say I grew up in a fire station. Ever since a little boy I have wanted to be a medic and now I am going for it. I am curently in a EMT-B class and taking all of the other classes I need to get my degree. I have been a volunteer since I was 16 at the station my dad was at in souther Oregon. Since then I have been a seasonal firefighter in norther cali. I am now a volunteer firefighter in norther Oregon and I work for the state on a wildland engine in the summer.
