Rapid Intervention Team Book

Posted on July 2, 2009 at 9:24pm 2 Comments

We are in the process of updating our popular Rapid Intervention Teams book published by Fire Protection Publications of Oklahoma State University. It was first published in 2001, and we are working on the 2nd edition. If you have photos, comments or techniques for Rapid Intervention that you feel would be useful to share in the book, send them to me and if we use them, we will be sure to give you credit. Good stuff will likely result in a free copy of the book to the submitter.

Read your FDC article in Fire/Rescue. Why is the first connection to standpipe and not sprinkler? It seems counter intuitive, especially if the sprinklers are already activated. Thanks for a great article.

You should be getting the CD on Mon. the 13. Im not sure how much of it is good because I get all my RIT stuff basicly where ever I can find any it but I do know that there is a word document called 3. RIT it names all the tools you shoud have in your basic “RIT KIT”. Hope it helps.
