I was a volunteer with Taylor Township Fire Department from 1998 until 2003. I miss it!

My Training:

I am a Nationally Registered Paramedic and an EMS Primary Instructor. I also am an ACLS, PALS, BLS, PEARS and PEPP Instructor. I am Training Center Faculty for BLS here at Howard. Also, I am NRP, Safety Officer, HazMat and 24 hour Firefighter certified. I am taking a CCEMT-P class in March, just another cert to add to the list. I also have an Associate's Degree in Paramedic Science and am finishing my Bachelor's Degree in General Studies at IU.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I started out as a volunteer firefighter and slowly got interested in EMS. I am now going on my 6th year as a medic and I can't imagine doing anything else. I am currently deciding which career path to take, rejoin the fire service or become a flight medic....either way I am sure it will be great.
