NIMS First Responder Operations
Began volunteer EMS in 1981, EMT since 1984, Paramedic since 1993, Critical Care Paramedic 2006, Firefighter 2006.
Full-time paramedic. Volunteer firefighter.
Assistant Chief-EMS Division of my department.
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
My dad and my brother were career firefighters for over twenty years. I lost my dad in 1994 after a heart attack, and I lost my brother to cancer in 2006 while he was still an active firefighter.
I began my EMS career in 1981 and let the family tradition of eating smoke fall to the wayside, until recently.
This page, and my decision to become a firefighter, are both dedicated to the memory of these two great guys, both of whom I miss very much.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Being there to make a difference in people's lives when they need it most.
