Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I have always loved helping people in times of need and in general. When I was in school I thought about being a nurse but the thought of being cooped up in a building all day was just crazy, so I tried EMS and after getting my basic was offered a job but I had to get my firefighter certifications also. After the first class, I was hooked. I LOVE BOTH FIREFIGHTING AND EMS!!! It's a GREAT RUSH to know that you have helped to SAVE SOMEONE'S LIFE!!!!
