Other Past or Current Departments and Organizations
Marion Fire, Marion Iowa Was my First Department
My Training:
FFI and EMT-B, Driver Operator, Rope Rescue Ops level, Hazmat Ops Technician, car seat technician
About Me:
There is nothing more thrilling than hearing the tones drop, running to the station and heading out to help, its simply the best feeling in the world. I have recently been working in house part time firefighter for my department since last year.
Check out the some of the Groups, I have started up "Close Calls" an area to tell your story of what you did and should not of so others learn. "Roll Calls" this is another group that allows you to tell us about your station and district. "Trainers Corner" is another area that you can read about issues other trainers have or deal with. As well if your not a trainer you can ask questions or state concerns you have. If you have a hard time locating them just go to my site and look at the bottom left hand corner.
I'll have to let you know when I come into town. Grab the gang and lets go to SouthBeach. Chuck Arnold still there? I worked with him at Trotwood before the accident.
Well I am About 2/3 rds of the way through EMT-B class and so far not to bad. Start Clinicals on Monday with my Dept. and am very excited about that. More updates soon
I just added some new photos of the new gear the Dpet had bought for some of us. they were replacing the oldest gear and working forward. my only complaint is that it is too clean looking, I need a couple of fires to break it in HAHA
Hi John, I'm Phyllis from Jefferson Fire Department, I have been with the department since 1971 and now a dispatcher. I do not go to fires anymore as I have a bad back. I help with anything I can for the department and I pray for the guys when they go out.
Thank you for the invite and the welcome. I look forward to talking with you and all the new friends I will make. I also look forward to sharing information and ideas with everyone.
Hi John, thanks for the invite. BTW -- LOVE your gear! Take good care of it, and it will take good care of you! If there's anything you need, just holler. We're right up the road. In the meanwhile, be safe!
