Hey everyone, Im an admin over at Firehouse Traditions on facebook and am looking for good training ideas and videos of departments actually doing training to put up on our site for other departments to learn from Any ideas would be great
I have been tasked with conducting the Depts Hazmat Awareness Level annual review. Does anyone have a Powerpoint to share?
Rodney,We have a outside guy do are refresher class. He does it in two sections. You can call the Madison County Coordinators office and get the instructors name and number. He may be willing to share his program or come out there and teach it.
Hi I have just joined your group and have recently been appointed training officer. There is a lot of talk of the OSHA 9 hour refresher. We have decided to separate ours into 9 segments. Does anyone have a layout on this already?
I just joined because I like having other's resources when I am getting a class up. I like hearing other's thoughts and methods. I've incorporated some in my own methods. My question is, how do I get to the power points and videos to view them?
Good day! My name is Elmer S. Acolentaba Jr., I'm the Aircraft Fire and Rescue Unit Chief of Caticlan Airport here in the Philippines. In my pursuit to improve our station trainings/lectures/courses, I would humbly like to request for any ARFF, Fire and Rescue training materials of any possible topic. It would be very much appreciated and i guarantee the security/privacy of your work in terms of copyrights and patents. Any material sent/forwarded shall be handled only by me and shall not be posted in the internet or published.
I am very much hoping that you would consider granting my humble request. A request is all i could do due to lack of financial capacity to procure training materials for our department. Due to passive support from the airport management for trainings, i myself strive to give the team some lectures and trainings. It would be great if we had better training materials as ours is already old.
Thank you and i am hoping for your response.
Cordially,
Elmer S. Acolentaba Jr.
Hi everyone!
I have started to make a series of videos about fire science in English.
I was hoping that you all would help me with feedback to them as I publish them one by one.
I hope that both our science gurus and the rest of us mortals would like to help.
The gurus I hope will be hard on the facts and how it is presented so that it is as accurate as possible. And all others I hope that you will tell me which parts that needs to be explained in different ways or elaborated further.
Feel free to test it on your mother, recruits, colleagues or your instructor!:-)
The videos will be used in a fire science e-learning course which will be available free on Firegear sometimes this fall.
Please leave all feedback on Firegear, because else the history and the documentation of the process are lost on different forums like here on Firefighter Nation! I would like to keep the process and the different future versions of the videos published so that the history of each video is saved for references.
Thank you all for your inputs!
