On this particular incident, our department was dispatched to a report of a structure fire.  While enroute, we were advised by dispatch that several barns were now involved.  Truck placement was an issue on this particular incident due to the area where the trucks were operating consisted of a "sandy" base with some gravel.

Considerations upon arrival included water supply, contents of buildings (vehicles, chemicals, other various items), placement of apparatus and actual access/location of the buildings on the property. Tanker shuttle operation was established with 4 tankers being utlizied during the incident.

Exposure to the main house was not an issue due to the location of the buildings involved.

From the pic's it looks good to me. HOW deep is the pool if it was a good pool and deep i would have set up a draft and used the water out of it..
James,

It was a pond that the owner had started but not completed. It only had several inches worth of water in it at the time. I'm always on the lookout for available water sources when we respond. I do have several of the larger ponds marked on our map/box book we use. It also has the location of the hydrants in out response area.
