Alright guys, it's official I bought my first leather and I love it. I haven't used it yet, don't know if I will considering it's history. It looks a helluva lot better than my 1010 though that's for sure. Fits better too. Even though the leather is a little big for my head it stays put better than my ratcheted down 1010, when doing work.

Anyway, question is What is the oldest leather you are currently using? Mine has a manufacture date of 1994 and has been used by the FDNY. Like I said with a history like that I'm hesitant about using it although I work for a vollie department and we don't see but about 65-100 structure fires a year.

So the helmet you are using right now, how old is it?

Glad to see I'm not the only one with an older helmet. Wore my 94 twice yesterday, once at an MVA, and once at a car fire and I have to say it is so much more comfortable than my 2008 Cairns 1010.
I've got a 93 at one station and an '05 at the main station I run out of.
