Exactly how big is your department ?

Mine has three bay's in those bay's we 1 brush truck, 1 salvage truck, and 2 fire engine and the ambulance set's out side for now . It's not very big in comparison to other dept. But we are getting a new station built down the road it's going to be nice.

Of corse that pic is a older one there is a truck were the ambulance is .

We have two stations one has 5 bays and one drive thru bay and the other station has 3 bays: 3 pumper/tankers, 2 tankers, 1 ladder, 2 brush trucks, 1 squad/air truck and an old 41' ford completely restored.

well what call small . We not quite as small as yours but it depends how you look at it. we have about 40 members on he rolls , but most are life members, we have about 8 to 15 truely active members, depending on the call. lol. We house 3 engines and two tankers. enginge 1 is our structure responce apper has a 1275 gpm pump. engine2 or rescue 2 is spected out for mainly mvas , but has a 1500gpm pump, enginge 5 is duel purpose, but only seats 2 , as water supply and brush fire , it carries about 3/4 mile of 5" and a 1500gpm pump, tanker 4 carries about 3500gals and tanker 6 carries about 2800 gals. 23-3 was sold because it carried our cascade system but became outdate when we upgraded to high pressure scba's . Besides the truck was a 1970's bread truck and was beyond nickle and dimeing.
My bother was stationed at wilmington when he was in the CG and I was At Bragg were's Knotts Island compared to there??

We are large by comparison to some but we are still from a small town. Our station houses six trucks. Two engines, one rescue, one tanker, one brush, and one utility. There is a total of approximately 40 active members with a core group of roughly 10 - 15. We service three townships and the borough we are stationed in.

20 certifed firefighters total 4 , 1st responders 2 sar tecs 2 pumpers 1500 gpm ,2 tankers , 1500 gal and 3000 gal
1200 gal tanker / brush truck , road rescue ambulance converted to full rescue rig loaded for bear

We have 2 in-service pumers, 2 Tankers(one is brand new), 1 Blazer, a brush truck, and the first fire truck the town got is housed in the bay but just stored, not run.

We are supposed to be getting a new brush truck, and a service truck. Plans are also in the making for a "substation"

I'm with a Volunteer dept. in N. W. Louisiana. Webster Fire Dist. #8 (Cotton Valley Fire Dept.) we have about 30 on the roll and around 15 that you could call active. I'm a First Responder; there are only 4 of us. We have 2 pumpers that are up to date, 2 1985 tankers that carry 4,000glns of water each, 2 brush trucks, 1 light rescue truck purchased in 2007, and foam truck donated by a petro-chemical plant in the district we serve. Those trucks are spread between 4 stations.

we share a large garage with the town road crew, we currently are running 2 engines 1. Simon Duplex 5man cab, top mount pump with a 2000GPM Hale with intagrated foam system(attack) 2. International commercial cab, frontmount 1500GPM pump, started life as a town plowtruck, (water supply) we also run an international commercial cab rescue truck this carries our extra ladders, heavy tools and JAWS. and last but in northern vermont NOT least a Kenworth 10 wheeler mounting a 4200 gallon tank for water supply

we have 3 bays 4 trucks... 2 engines, 1 tanker, and 1 brush... we r going to either get rid of tanker and make 1 engine a mini tanker, or sell the engine and keep take, or sell both.....
