SAR gear.
What kind of gear does everyone use? Most of our searches are people lost in the mountains so I keep my gear simple. Surplus alice webbing gear with a hydration pack, gps unit, socks small rescue tool. I also keep a real small first aid kit with survival blanket and flashlight. I know thier's more but I can't rememer.

Hopefully, you have had your questions answered by now, but if not, the real answer is found in the seasons, the topography, the missions and personal preferences. Whether or not you plan on giving gear or supplies away. It is huge task to consider everything. The general idea is 24-48 packs contain everything you need for 1-2 days out.
