How are the fires in Midwest City and Stillwater? Anyone working those wildland fires? What are the wind and weather conditions? What is the latest on containment?

Be safe out there!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Chief Nolan Schmidt who died in the Hydro Grain Elevator Fire and the five firefighters injured.

Estimated Tally on the Taloga Fire
Perimeter measured by OHP Plane at 64.8 miles
Acreage measured by OHP Plane and Forestery GPS at 52,720 acres.
Units that checked in for Friday were 165 Firefighters, 59 Brushpumpers, 9 Tankers, 3 EMS units, 7 Support Units. This is just the FD units and does not include all Dozers, Graders, Private Tankers (15 different ones that I know of) We are still tracking down all the units from Thursday and the ones that did not go through the stagging area on Friday. This Fire was dispacted out around 12:00 pm on Thurday and turned back to Taloga for final monitoring at 5:30 pm Saturday.

Hope everyone is doing well and are not too busy. The winds here in Prague have been very high and the humidity very low, but I'm not telling you guys anything new.

yeah and the best part about the free ff1 training is that they can bring it to you locally, so you dont have to stay in Stillwater and take off time from work.
