Hi david , your absolutely right , this forum has been dead since I joined. Hope your Blog gets some action. Nice Picture. Unfortunately I don't have any fire pics. Always seems like we are to busy putting them out to take pics first . (well that is my story and I'm sticking with it!!!!)

I have had a number of "best " fire. Actually every structure fire that we held to area of origin (which has been quite a few now) are the best. When it comes to fires, you just can't beat saving someones home.

Hopefully we will get some good pics on here

Well I thought it was worth a shot everybody likes pictures and I know what you mean when you say we don't have time to take pictures we are fortunate enough to have a department photographer to help us out. This particular picture is of a tank battery bleve Very scary.
Very Scary -- I'll bet it was. You guys must have done good though to be that close for the picture but nobody got hurt.
Cut my teeth with Hondo VFD in Santa Fe County in 1990. Working out in Hawaii now, and except for the rain, it is much the same.
i am in ruidoso nm, volunteer,also wildland firefighter for NMSF, we had a wildland fire in lincoln NM burnde all around propane tank,blistered paint on tank, blev, thats a real errie feeling when that happens, but it didnt blow. thank god for small miracles
