This is a program used by many EMS Providers to create revenue while forgiving co-payments of patients billed after ambulance transport. So, the resident pays $30-$75 per year to enroll. If paramedics or EMT's transport them, they are not billed--only their insurance.

EmergiLink was created as the next evolution of this type of program. Our thoughts...If you are going to reach out and connect with a program in the community, you may as well have them put their medical data and contact info securely online so you can access it electronically in the field when they become a patient. And since you can't always find a patients ID on them or anywhere around, it makes sense to use one of their biometric signatures (fingerprint) to identify them.
