We use an old cot for non-ambulatory decon. We have also been known to set up a row of tables that allows us to put backboards or patients on them for decon, use them like a regular decon line. We stole a trick from our local CST team. They use seatbelt cutters for quick removal. Just swipe the suit with a wet towel with your decon solution of choice, then cut down and peel out This can be used for any decon. Why are we all so concerned with complete decon and saving suits? Cut them and get out of them. Aren't we supposed to use them once and get them replaced anyhow? Grab and drag from the hot zone, otherwisea slit in the wrist area can be used to get air into a suit. You can put a hose on an SCBA bottle and crack it open or free flow the air.

We use the converyor rollers you find at store or on the back of trucks. Rollers that we can either place a back boar on or a stokes baskey, then the same as above decon and a quick removal with either trauma shears or seatbelt cutters

In Illinois, our MABAS (Mutual Aid Box Alarm System) system purchased and distributed Decon Vehicles throughout the state. These vehicles provide for quick and efficient mass decon as well as decon of non-ambulatory patients. Of course, the vehicles are not inexpensive, but the features that they have might be of some value. The conveyor system is a great idea (see pictures). The conveyors that came with our Decon vehicle have spray nozzels attached to the underside. This is designed to be used for a patient in a wire Stokes basket. The patient is decon'ed from the underside and then manually sprayed from above as well. Hope this gives you some ideas.
