Hey Dan what do you hear about Hurricane Ike? It looks like it might hit New Orleans or parts of the Gulf Coasts. Keep us up-dated!

Bocks and Montgomery County, a suburb of Philly about 30 minute drive north, just a shade closer than Moscow.

Amen to that Dan, trying to get money for anything volunteer seems to be like pulling teeth. I even tapped my local political reps on the shoulder for help and needless to say nobody opened thrir checkbook.501c is great but if there is no money comming in what is the point. The only way we got money for our trips so far is passing the hat and dipping in to our own pockets. That seems like the right thing to do to me, I know the folks down south would do the same for us if needed. By the way Dan was my group the group you stated from Philly or is there another one?

I think you'll get a much higher level of response if the respondents (who are already donating their unpaid time) know that their transportation, lodging and meals are taken care of.

Thanks for doing what you do Dan. Keep me on your "go" list if, for any unfortunate reasons, you need the able bodies to help out. In the meantime, you and I need to chat about Hancock Hope's 501c3 status and about doing some ongoing fundraising, so that when the need arises, you have the ability to provide transport and equipment on demand vs. on demand situation by situtation.
