Happy blogging Trina! Keep at it and let us know. I have my http://firefighterwife.com blog and I'm off to put up a post to get all of yours. If you are talking about your every day, your extra day, I want to know so I can link to it. We all work through this so differently :)

Cynthia - that is exactly what I did to keep my sanity. If anyone reads my random ponderings, great, if not - no worries. It allows me to have a conversation with myself to work out the chaos of this world. Being a mom of 4, with most of my connections being in the teaching world. They just don't get it. I refuse to let the chaos consume me and so it works for me. Happy blogging!

Mike, I'm all over all feedback here. Some guys have wives in the service and need help, some are both of you in the service, and I know you guys could use some help at times with what some of us are thinking. So bring yourself on over to the discussions to help us or for us to help you :)

Cynthia, if a blog brings you help, then don't worry about the visitors. Let me know if you could use help with traffic, seo, marketing, and writing. IT's what I do ;) But get more posts going and then you'll be happy writing again

For a fire department holiday party idea, check out "Let's Throw a Party!" on www.firewifelife.com Think: reclaiming Tupperware that seems forever lost in the black hole of a firehouse kitchen. ;)

Val, thanks for the feedback! I never knew anyone other than family and local friends checked it. I will definitely start posting some more, so checking it will be worthwhile. Life's gotten hectic and crazy this past year, but I'm really missing my time writing. In fact, I just wrote an article about an ice cream social we held for our department to welcome its newest engine and "push" it back into the bay. I'll post that one right now. Thanks again, Val.

And Mike - please add your input here! I, personally welcome input from anyone who is family and fire-family oriented. I like your new group too. Thanks for starting that.

I've been to your site before as I visit a lot of firewife blogs. It shows no new posts since 2009 so that was why I've never stopped back by or commented.

Does anyone like to read about firefighters wives? I write funny stuff about this lifestyle and I post on my website at www.firewifelife.com. I have a ton of friends and family who love to read my stuff and want me to publish something, but I want to know if anyone outside of my ring of people would want to read it.

It's real life, especially about firefighting life, w/ a focus on sarcastic humor. Anyways, if you love firefighting, have kids, own cats, hear pagers go off in your sleep, are lonely in bed every few nights on a rotating basis, or eat holiday meals at fire houses, then you just might find a part of yourself in there too. Check it out. And please leave comments either on my site or this one. I want the feedback. Thanks ladies!

Hi everyone. I am Trina, my husband Jeff just wrapped up the academy in Milwaukee. He left teaching after 12 years to become a firefighter. It was a LOOONNNGG process. He has been stationed at E2 in Milwaukee. We have 4 kids - ages 10-2. And he is finally happy! He was a GREAT elementary teacher, but it made him miserable. That makes this whole journey worthwhile!

Just nice to know I am not the only one, some days it feels like I am!
