Just joined firefighter nation , just wanted to let out a hello to everyone.
I've been riding since 1971 (before most of you were born). I road escourt for the last supper.
I've got a 1976 superglide with a wideglide frontend, 21" 60 spoke front wheel, electronic ignition, HEI, four spark plug system with dome pistons, primary belt 23" bars and risers, lowered rearend (the bike, not me) and dialed to hardtail ride. I've been stopped by local PD, County and state 14 times in 12 months.
I retired from a city department outside of Denver Colorado aft abt 30 yrs "on the street". We are moved here to help take care of my mother-in-law but she has sinced passed away. We are moving outside of Mesa Az. in 70 days!!!. Maybe I will be abe to ride more. The winter has been very cold. I don't mind riding in the cold, I road m/c escourt year round in Denver by putting sheet metal screws in knobby tires. But here it has been around -10 to +20 for months.
I belong to the Patriot Guard and IAFF/MC district 9.
I retired from a city department outside of Denver after abt. 30 years "on the street", worked SWAT as a negotiator and moved to SWAT medic. Now, being retired "I don't have a life". I'm the house "Bit__.
"Yes dear", "I wish I had thought of that dear", and "good idea". Now vacuum!
Glad to be a part of this group. Just found it a few minutes ago.
Later, gater.
