Chrissy, your best bet is to check the websites of the departments you feel you would like to apply to. If it's 5, then look at 5, if it's 20, then look at the 20. Bookmark them and check them on a weekly basis. If they are hiring, they will have it prominently marked on their website... take a look at them, get familiar with where to look and get cracking. I found 5 departments in my area to apply to before I was hired by simply putting the time and effort in. No one can tell me they don't have time. i was working two jobs, taking college courses and raising a child who is equally as busy.... trust me, there's always time if you want it!!!
