We use these on our 1 3/4 and 2 1/2 handlines,we have not had any problems.The only con that I have is if you have a smaller crosslay space it takes a little bit to get them to fit right.

We use them on our new pumper we got over the summer, and i was able to use one for the first time this past weekend at a call we had, great nozzle and easy to handle as oppose to the "traditional" nozzles....and the pistol grip isn't too shabby either, the only problem we had was the first few calls we had them on tryin to change the pattern was a bit of a two man job, but once it got broken in and used more and more, it works awesome

Have had the ZT's for many years.You can manage nozzle reaction with less effort, especially at higher flow rates. Only problem we’ve encountered are the set screws at the base of the valve loosens allowing it to swivel. Loctite fixed that problem. Also the 2 ½” 300 gpm assault fog tips are a bit awkward when not flowing water, but the smooth bores are fine. We do not use them in our highrise bundles, to bulky. If you are currently using Akron nozzles you can order just the ZT inlet and convert those nozzles. Your Akron rep can do that for you. They remove the female swivel from the valve (shut off) and put the ZT in its place. Overall - nice nozzles.

We don't have them, but I've demo'd some and used some on fires when taking a line from a mutual aid engine. I really didn't think they were all that great. Especially if you're trying to operate in a smaller room such as a bathroom or closet. I would guess that they are more than your standard nozzle? Assuming they are more, I guess I couldn't see justifying the cost.
