At our weekly work detail last night, I had to help another firefighter figure out how to put in our SCBA's in the jump seats in the new rescue. I hadn't done it myself, but as I stepped out of the truck, I proclaimed "Yep, in 18 years and 6 truck purchases, this is by far my favorite"

It's a new rescue that replaced a worn and torn late 70's utility van.

What's your favorite apparatus?

City of Riverview FD, Engine 1452 is a 2008 KME Severe Service Pumper. We broke her cherry on a 3 story senior/assisted living center. She performed like a champ. There is just something about a fire truck and a Caterpiler engine that just go together.

NOT ours but I Love the Dual Dump Valves!!
A 1972 Maxim S model with a 1K gpm Hale pump that out performs anything I have worked with. A small pump, but very reliable.
Ha! That's the best photo yet!
Not unless the shovel has wheels, can haul equipment and spray water. And I haven't come across a shovel yet that can do that.
Thank You
I would say E-48 would be my favorite... E one, mid ship pump panel, very convenient to see everything...

my favorite apparatus would have to be our 1st due truck its a Pierce Dash, detroit diesel and allison transmission. its a mean sounding truck wether its idling or running hot out of station,
a close 2nd favorite would be our mutual aid truck which is an 80's model ford firecat with an open back cab.
nice vet...
a 1989 Simon-Duplex walk-in rescue 10 man cab

unit 610, 1000 gal pumper 1250 gpm pump, top mount on 4wd chassis with front and rear locking differentials

My favorite unit is Engine 9-18, a 1994 International Smeal. It serves McKenzie (TN) Fire as the 2nd out unit on in-town fires and 1st out unit on all out-of-town calls.
