We had an illegal immigrant jump out of a moving pick up, get run over by the trailer the pick up was pulling and then thrown to the curb. He struck his head on the curb. He was posturing and breathing 4 time per minute when we arrived. Huge head injury. We air lifted him out and the last I heard he was still alive but in critical condition in SICU. I was told that he jumped from the pick up because he saw a border patrol agent. The agent was not pursuing him, just happened to be in the neighborhood.
We have been on a great streak at work.....13 true fires in the last few months including a career fire when a certain sausage kings house caught fire....Also in that time span we have had several interesting calls, couple extrications, few haz mat runs etc....been quite busy but thats the norm for us I work in a low income section of the county I work in and my station sees 7,000 calls a year between the engine, truck, and ambulance.
Hey Cody, Posturing...not so good! Jumping was a very bad decision on his part.
Hey DeWayne and Diana, Nothing too exciting in my part of the world. Last shift a car fire and a few grandma's falling.
